Baskin Engineering Alumna Birong Hu has a message for young students interested in STEM: “Believe in Yourself!” Hu reinforces this message through her support of UC Santa Cruz’s Girls in Engineering (GIE), a summer program that provides middle school students opportunities to engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning. Her generosity will help fund a cohort of 25 middle schoolers to participate in Girls in Engineering in the summer of 2024.
