The popular and long-running UC Santa Cruz Girls in Engineering (GIE) program returned this summer after a two-year pandemic hiatus. The five-day camp introduces middle school girls from Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties to the fields of engineering and technology and helps bridge the gender gap in STEM education.
